IQP in Iceland
As my WPI Interactive Qualifying Project (IQP), I did a research project abroad in Iceland. Over 6 weeks, I worked with 3 other students to research Lupinus Nootkatensis, or Arctic Lupine. Arctic Lupine was brought to Iceland to help mitigate soil erosion issues and add nutrients to the soil necessary for reforestation. We collected data on public opinion and interviewed experts with varying opinions. We published our results with an Icelandic newspaper, and later presented our research at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research. This social science project gave me experience with a different side of science I hadn't been exposed to, and gives me a much better understanding of how my projects can have an impact on others around the world.

NCUR Presentation
After completing our IQP, we applied to present at the 2023 National Conference of Undergraduate Research, or NCUR, where we were accepted! We flew to the prestigious conference in Wisconsin where, among some of the best undergraduate researchers in the country, we presented our research. Check out our slideshow summarizing our work here.
